2. Scope of Meshman/Limitations
Meshman consists of a mudule with agent functionality
and a mesh generator module. MSC.Marc and
MSC.Mentat are not part of this program.
2.1 Environment for using Meshman
<Hardware>
Compatibility checked Intel Celeron 500MHz, Mobile Pentium II 333MHz
Hardware that should be compatible but to be confirmed:Pentium III, Pentium IV and
Intel compatibles like AMD

<OS>
Compatibility checked:Windows NT Version 4.0 Service Pack 4 and 5, Windows 2000, Windows XP
OS that should be compatible but to be confirmed:Windows NT Version 4.0's other Service
Packs.

Note: Compaq alpha on Windows NT is not supported
due to the installer's limitations. For more

<HDD>
About 50 MB is required. JRE(Java Runtime
Environment) will be installed together with
the program. Moreover, storage for geometrical
models, mesh files and work files for mesh
generation are necessary.
<Memory>
More than 256MB recommended.
<Network>
Must be connected to network and
the world wide web. Meshman will automatically
obtain your machine's MAC address, which is a physical address of the ethernet
adapter.
<MSC.Marc>
Even if MSC.Marc is not installed
on the machine on which Meshman is installed,
mesh data can be generated. But you cannot
perform analysis. The format of the generated
mesh data is for MSC.Marc.
<Supported versions of MSC.Marc>
Compatibility checked:MSC.Marc 2000
Versions that should be compatible but to
be confirmed:Marc K6.2L and later
<MSC.Mentat>
If MSC.Mentat is not installed
on the machine on which Meshman is installed,
you cannot display analysis results and Meshman
cannot support you in your manipulation of
MSC.Mentat.
<Supported versions of MSC.Mentat>
Compatibility checked:MSC.Mentat 2000
Versions that should be compatible but to
be confirmed:Mentat II 2.3.1 and later
2.2 About Evaluation license
The evaluation license begins on the date
you first use Meshman and ends after 60 days.
